The Quotable Tyrant

I've dug up some inspiration for all you aspiring dictators out there, and until Life's Little Instruction Book For Tyrants is written, you'll have to make do with the crumbs I throw you. Please, sit still while Josef and I take the lectern and pour forth the wisdom of the ages. Of course, Josef would never share a lectern, but he's dead.

Since we've already been on the subject of Genghis, he'll open up the floor:

"The greatest pleasure is to vanquish your enemies, to chase them before you, to rob them of their wealth, to see their near and dear bathed in tears, to ride their horses and to sleep on the bellies of their wives and daughters."  - Genghis Khan

"The death of one man is a tragedy.  The death of millions is a statistic." - Josef Stalin

“It is not these well-fed long-haired men that I fear, but the pale and the hungry-looking.” –Julius Caesar

"In any country there must be people who have to die. They are the sacrifices any nation has to make to achieve law and order." - Idi Amin

"Hitler was even more ferocious. The more ferocious the better, don't you think? The more people you kill, the more revolutionary you are." - Mao Zedong

Have fun applying this wisdom to your work and relationships. Actually, don't do that.

Unbelievable! I can't believe they said that. Actually, I can.
